Weaving Freedom, One Basket at a Time
In rural India, many women lived behind closed doorsrestricted by tradition, silenced by circumstance. Their husbands, caught in the grip of addiction, could no longer provide financially. These women, once confined and voiceless, were left to carry the weight of their households alone.
Then came a new beginning.
Through our initiative, they were trained to craft baskets a simple skill that became a powerful source of income. With every weave, they reclaimed their dignity, found their voice, and took control of their lives.
Today, they are not just artisans-they are providers. Their earnings run households, put food on the table, and send children to school. The laughter has returned to their homes. Their eyes shine with pride. And for the first time, they are living not just within walls but beyond them, with hope and happiness.
